Today, Monday, September 4, at 22:35 hours (peninsular time), the grand final of the Grand Prix 2023 is broadcast. It will be the first final in 18 years. An occasion that will become part of the history of television and which the towns of Alfacar (Granada) and Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia) will face. The thing is between bread and cookies. The two towns that reach the grand final are known for different flour pastries, but only one has the necessary ingredients to win. The last will have as godparents the actor and director Eduardo Casanova, who will encourage the blue stand of Alfacar, and the duo Camela, who will do the same with the yellow frame of Aguilar de Campoo.

Alfacar and its inhabitants are willing to give everything to achieve victory. They come from Granada, from the region of La Vega. There reside about 5500 inhabitants, much of it is dedicated to the bakery industry. If Aguilar de Campoo is famous for its cookies, in Alfacar they are more than proud of their bread, a very special product thanks to its preparation and a secret ingredient: the water from its springs. The town has fifty bakeries, one of the main attractions of the town, but not the only one. Many arrive attracted by their surroundings, such as the Sierra de la Alfaguara. The blue team, the color of the shirt that Alfacar will wear, will be represented by its mayor and the singer María Peláe.

They will not make it easy for those of Alfacar those of Aguilar de Campoo, they were the first to get a place in the grand final of the Grand Prix. The town of Palencia won the first semifinal against Tineo (Asturias). Its mayor was sheltered at all times by José Mota, her godfather. A very close competition that was decided in the last test. The main economic engine of Aguilar de Campoo is the agri-food industry. There is the largest biscuit factory in Spain, Gullón. The biscuit has become a symbol of the town and an important part of its history and culture.
